Blu-Ray Review: "The Fugitive" 20th Anniverary Edition

In 1993 Harrison Ford scored his biggest box office hit in a non Han Solo or Indiana Jones role when he portrayed Dr. Richard Kimble in the big screen adaptation of "The Fugitive."

Nominated for 7 "Academy Awards" including one for Best Picture and based on the long running popular TV series from the 60's, "The Fugitive" finds Kimble wrongly accused of murdering his wife.  When a chance to escape incarceration lands in Kimble's lap he takes it in hopes of clearing his name and bringing the real murderer to justice.

The 1993 classic is once again available to the home video market and finally it has been given the treatment it deserves.  For the 20th Anniversary release "The Fugitive" has been restored with a new Remastered Hi-Def 1080p transfer that is far superior to any version that has been previously released.

Special features on the Blu-Ray disc include:

    - The Fugitive: Thrill Of The Chase (NEW to this release)
    - Pilot Episode of the 2000 TV series "The Fugitive" starring Tim Daly  (NEW to this release)
    - Introduction by director Andrew Davis and Harrison Ford
    - Commentary by Andrew Davis and Tommy Lee Jones who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as Deputy U.S. Marshall Samuel Gerard
    - 2 Exciting Documentaries: 1) Derailed: Anatomy Of A Train Wreck & 2) On The Run With The Fugitive
    - Plus the original Theatrical Trailer

If "The Fugitive" is not currently part of your home video collection it's time to add it and if you already own it this rerelease is worth the upgrade.

Drumroll please... 10 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
