    The #StarWars from @DarkHorseComics

Jar-Jar's under that mask, I JUST KNOW IT!!!!

A "the" can make all the difference!  We all know the classic tale that is Star Wars, and I've already written about it extensively here at PCB (SELF PROMOTION!!).  But what would happen if we went back to the drawing board that birthed Star Wars?  What forgotten myths and legends would we discover?  LucasBooks editor and writer J.W. Rinzler wondered the same thing; he discovered the mysteries of George Lucas' original screenplay for Star Wars, when it was called THE Star Wars.  Characters are different, events have changed, but hopefully it still has the heart.

Dark Horse Comics and Rinzler are developing these original Lucas ideas into an 8-part comic book that will be on shelves September 4.  The new protagonist of this alternate universe is none other than Annikin Starkiller, and although Lucas may not have developed everything in this original script (1974), it did eventually turn into Star Wars (1977).  So that's good.  I don't want to read more about it, because I don't like spoiling things for myself.  But hopefully PCB.com will keep my around long enough to review this title in September.

    Ah, crap!
