Blu-Ray Review: House At The End Of The Street
2012 has been a very good year for actress Jennifer Lawrence.
She starred in 2 critically acclaimed films: "The Hunger Games"which was a box office smash and "Silver Linings Playbook" which has garnered awards show accolades. Both have turned Jennifer Lawrence from actress to movie star.
But between those 2 films came a lesser known movie called "The House On The End Of The Street." And, unlike those other films, the critics were not kind to this one when it was released. Too bad, because this movie deserves to be seen.
The cast is great with Elisabeth Shue and Lawrence making a perfect mother/daughter team. The teenage dialogue isn't over written and screenwriter David Loucka has found a way to tap into how 18 year olds converse. The story keeps you interested from start to finish with a twist that is actually believable and pays off.
Is it the perfect horror thriller? No.
But, if you want to turn the lights out, curl up on the couch with your better half and enjoy a fun movie night, then this is the movie for you.
Drumroll please... 7 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
