Last night 90's hit makers the Gin Blossoms brought their brand of jangly pop rock to The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA.
Best known for the hits "Hey Jealousy," "Found Out About You," "Til I Hear It From You," and "Follow You Down" the band hit the stage running and never let up.
Lead singer Robin Wilson was in excellent voice and worked the crowd all night long. With his faux "I don't really want to be here attitude" Wilson passed out tambourines, downed shots of Jack Daniels and walked across tables all the while never missing a beat.
The band was in top form as well with lead guitarist Jesse Valenzuela wailing on his instrument while bassist Bill Leen held down the bottom end as they blended their classic tunes with new songs like "Miss Disarray," "Learning The Hard Way" and "Don't Change For Me."
It's been a quarter century since the band formed and they continue to stay active on the road and in the recording studio. In 2006, after a ten year span between records, they released their 3rd album "Major Lodge Victory" followed by "No Chocolate Cake" in 2010.
If you didn't get to see the band live in their heyday it's not too late because they continue to please fans both old and new.
Drumroll please... 8 out of 10 drumsticks!!
