TheDaily.com (and Deadline.com) is reporting that AMC may be on the verge of canceling the show that put it on the map, Mad Men
, even while announcing it will be returning for season five in early 2012.Apparently, AMC wants 3-minutes shaved off the show (for more ads). more product integration and 2 characters axed.
Of course, there are other people saying that is not the case and that it's Matthew Weiner, the shows creator and show runner, who is holding things up. Even after being offered a $30 million dollar deal.
So...Mad Men Season Five is greenlit but there is no deal with its creator Matthew Weiner.
Sounds like this is turning into something straight out of well...Mad Men
