DVD Review: "Tinker Bell And The Great Fairy Rescue"
DVD Review: "Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue"
So why is a grown man reviewing a Disney Tinker Bell DVD? Well, to be honest, this grown man has 2 daughters and since I would end up watching it eventually I decided … "why not?"
"Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue" is the third in Disney's direct to DVD series of computer-animated fairy films. This one takes place years before Tinker Bell met Peter Pan, Wendy and the rest of the Lost Boys and tells the story of her first encounter with a human girl named Lizzy. When Tinker Bell accidentally gets trapped in Lizzy's house her fairy pals think she's in trouble and plan a rescue.
The animation in this series gets better with every film and the vocal talent featuring Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy Liu, Raven-Symone and acclaimed British actor Michael Sheen is top notch and really brings these characters to life.
Even with its exciting action sequences, "Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue" may not appeal to the boys in your home but, if you have girls (and I can vouch for ages 5 and 9) this movie will be in your DVD player more than it is on the shelf.
Drumroll please… 8 out of 10 drumsticks!!
