Original Kermit the Frog Donated to Smithsonian

Ten original muppets from "Sam and Friends" were donated to the Smithsonian Institute today by Jim Henson's widow, Jane.  "Sam and Friends" was the show that started what would eventually become "Sesame Street" and "The Muppet Show".
In the 50 years since Jane and Jim Henson created Kermit, the frog has inspired and entertained generations of children and still continues to do so.

The Muppets Studio launch a youtube channel in November of 2009 and has since found 30 million views.

In May of this year, The Muppets won two Webby Awards for their youtube video, "Bohemian Rhapsody", which features all the muppets from the various incarnations of the show, including the "Mahna Mahna" guy with his two pink snowth friends.

The following are a few of our favorite Kermit the Frog moments:

Cookie Monster Alphabet with Julie (Sesame Street)
It's Not Easy Being Green (Sesame Street)
    Rainbow Connection (The Muppets Movie)

What were some of your favorite Kermit moments?  Leave a comment.
