Yes, I know it's Wednesday, but I would be remissed if I left you all cold and alone because I was away at Star Wars Celebration V, as if the pictures of all those Slave Leias weren't enough to keep you warm ;)
Don't worry, I'll still post new songs this Friday. Okay, let's do this!!
First off a new song from one of my favorite bands, Paramore. Before you give it a listen, this song, "The Only Exception", is different than any other song I've heard from this band and I'm glad. I'm a fan of Paramore, but this song is definitely a welcomed exception from their normal sound. I for one, hope it's not the only exception. Paramore's new cd, "Brand New Eyes" is only $9.00 on Amazon.com
For the second song, I have more of an album preview. I am a HUGE Ben Folds fan and possible one of the biggest you'll ever meet. That being said, this new project scares me. Ben Folds is a renowned for making up lyrics to music on the fly. For this project, he has taken words by amazing author, Nick Hornby, and put them to music and melody. Please give this a listen and tell me I'm wrong and that I'm imagining things. At the very least, I KNOW that it will be an interesting listen. If you like what you hear, "The Lonely Avenue" comes out September 28, 2010. You can Pre-Order today!
And finally we see the return of the band Linkin Park and "The Catalyst" makes it seem like they haven't missed a beat. This will be the new anthem of teenage angst. After first listen, I was hooked. Their new cd "A Thousand Suns" drops on September 14, 2010. Order it from Amazon.com today.
