    Worth Your Money: Vengeance Trilogy

Our Worth Your Money feature is one to counter-act the semi regular We Watch/Listen So You Don't Have To feature.  This new feature will showcase exceptional releases with quickfire reviews.  I'm extremely pleased to have an amazing example of not just International Film but Film in general featured in our first Worth Your MoneyThe Vengeance Trilogy.

Now available on DVD and Blu-ray is the incredible Vengeance Trilogy from Park Chan-wook.  The set includes Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Old Boy, Lady Vengance, a wonderful booklet with photos and essays about the films, hours upon hours of special features including the "Fade to White" version of Lady Vengeance, cast interviews, trailers, commentaries, deleted scenes and much, much more.

I honestly want to end this review right now and just tell you to rush out and buy this set immediately.

You aren't likely to see a better set featuring these films.  They're presented beautifully both in transfer and in packaging.  The booklet is full of great photos and information regarding the trilogy.

The trilogy is a fascinating study of revenge and each film a superb from script to screen.  The films are essentially flawless dramatic pieces.  I was blown away by each and every one of the three films presented here.

The Blu-rays are gorgeous.  The picture and sound are top notch and elevate these films to near perfection.  If the spot on direction and brilliant performances weren't enough, the stunning clarity and visuals will be.  Not too mention the plethora of special features.

I had missed out on these films when they were initially released but I am so happy to be able to catch up with them on Blu-ray but at the same time sad I missed them theatrically.  Hopefully, they will screen here in the future.

This collection is certainly worth your money and is a shining example of International Cinema at its best.
