ABC announced yesterday that nine of its primetime scripted series have been picked up to return next fall.
These include Samantha Who, Ugly Betty, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Gray's Anatomy, Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sex Money, Brothers & Sisters, and Private Practice.
Missing from this list are both Men In Trees and one of our favorite shows Boston Legal.
Word has not been officially given as to whether the show is canceled or not but its absence from yesterdays announcement does not bode well.
The show could be heading back into production as soon as next week in order to finish the last eight episodes for this season which means if this is true we might get a proper finale.
I can only hope this is not the case as losing Boston Legal would create a difficult void to fill for television. It is quite frankly one of the best shows on television right now. With luck another network will pick it up.
