Thor has a director!

According to Variety; Marvel Studios has set Matthew Vaughn to direct the live action, comic book adaption of Thor.

Vaughn's latest movie Stardust, open's today in theatres, but he is also known for his directing debut Layer Cake, and produced Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrel and Snatch.

Production on Thor is expected to start winter '07.
