Music Review: "Robert Lamm Songs - The JVE ReMixes" CD

Robert Lamm is best known as a vocalist and songwriter for the rock band Chicago. Throughout his 40 year career Lamm has written some of the most iconic songs that to this day remain FM radio staples. Songs like: "Beginnings," "25 or 6 to 4," and "Saturday In The Park."

So what happens when you take these songs and let producer John Van Eps remix them?

You get a CD that is in my opinion... unlistenable.

Nothing that Van Eps has done improves on these songs in any way and I cannot for the life of me understand why this project exists.

If you love Chicago as well as Lamm's solo work then stick with the originals and skip "The JVM Remixes" you will thank me later for the time I have saved you.

Drumroll please... 0 out of 10 drumsticks!!
