Concert Review: Lindsey Buckingham - "LIVE in Los Angeles, CA"

On May 4, 2012 Lindsey Buckingham took the stage at The Wiltern Theatre for his first ever Los Angeles solo show. No band just Buckingham and his guitar. There is no doubt that Buckingham is one of the greatest most underrated guitarists playing today and to watch him become one with his instrument on stage is something that needs to be seen.

However... unlike other artists I have seen in this "Solo Concert" format (Jackson Browne, Melissa Etheridge & Ray Davies) Buckingham's performance was quite simply... boring.

Without the benefit of his backing band and with a set list that included too much new material that quite frankly sounds the same when played live, Buckingham was never able to fully engage his audience.

If Buckingham wants to continue touring as a one man band he needs to connect with his audience between songs and add a few more hits to the mix.

Drumroll please... 6 out of 10 drumsticks!!
