    Blu-Ray Review: "Justice League: DOOM"

What if the most powerful superheroes in the world (Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash & Martian Manhunter) decided to go bad?

What if Batman had a contingency plan to stop them if that ever happened?

What if someone then stole Batman's plans to render the Justice League helpless?

Those questions and others are answered in the new DC Direct to DVD release: "Justice League: DOOM." Now, to tell you anymore would be a crime -- but I will say that the "Legion Of DOOM" plays a big part in taking down the Justice League.

Returning to voice the Justice League members are fan favorites Kevin Conroy as Batman, Tim Daly as Superman, Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman, Michael Rosenbaum as Flash and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern - Hal Jordan.

Long-time DC animated fanatics will also want to credit voice director Andrea Romano for once again getting the best out of her voice actors. Romano's work with DC dates back 20 years to 1992's groundbreaking animated series: "Batman: The Animated Series" and her hands-on approach never disappoints.

"Justice League: DOOM" is loosely based on the "Justice League of America" comic book storyline "Tower Of Babel" written by Mark Waid. "Justice League: DOOM" was written by Dwayne McDuffie ("All-Star Superman", "Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths") who has done a great job taking the original 160 page graphic novel and whittling the source material into an amazingly satisfying 77 minute feature.

Sadly, this would be McDuffie's last work for DC as he passed away at the young age of 49 due to complications from emergency heart surgery. McDuffie was a pioneer whose dedication to DC and the pioneering minority-owned and operated comic-book company Milestone Media will have a lasting impact on the many up and coming artists and writers who follow in his footsteps.

The Blu-Ray is brimming with special features that include: "Guarding the Balance: Batman and the JLA," "Cyborg: His Time Has Come," "A League of One: The Dwayne McDuffie Story."

    Drumroll please… 10 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
