After three decades together, R.E.M. are calling it quits.
The band says, "We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished."
31 years, 15 albums, a storied career filled with some amazing music.
I imagine we'll have a Michael Stipe solo album pretty quickly.
A reunion tour is expected next year (joking).
