New Rock Band "Pro" version instruments

My girlfriend often complains that she can't play Rock Band. See, she's a musician. She plays bass. She hates that it's not a real guitar and the notes don't always correspond to the music. (I play on medium, don't judge me.) Well, now she might actually give it a try.

Rock Band 3 will feature a "Pro" mode, the goal of which is to make the controllers something you'd actually need to be a musician to play.

The drum kit's cymbals got a redesign, now sporting three cymbals that function as separate notes.

New to this edition is the completely rad keytar. Difficulty on this new instrument scales from having to hit a note in one of 5 ranges, to actually having to hit the exact notes.

The guitar (a Fender Mustang Pro, the red one in the above pic) will feature 17 frets and 6 strings for a total of 102 notes. Each string is a nylon string that must be plucked individually. If that's not enough for you, eventually there will be a Squier Stratocaster (the black one in the center of the pic) that can be used as a Pro controller or a real freaking guitar.

So, in addition to the general awesomeness, maybe the phrase "But you're not REALLY playing." won't be heard in my house again...
