Sony Pictures has opened a teaser site for the upcoming film, Priest, which is an adaptation of the Tokyo Pop Manga of the same name about a Priest who goes against the church to track down a group of vampires that have kidnapped his niece. Not sure Paul Bettany is the first name that would pop into my mind for a role like this but it does seem to have an interesting look.Priest hits theaters next august.
Ooooh no! I thought this was in developement hell!! ..I was really not looking forward to this movie because they're completely changing the story from the manga..
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of the manga and have bought/read every volume.. The story is completely different...unless they change it or something.. But I can see Paul Bettany as the lead cuz the main character does look a lot like him (except in the manga he has longer hair..)
You should try to pick up the first volume of the manga, it's a very interesting read.. you'll probably like it. course.. it doesnt get good till maybe volume 5 or 6.. but I highly recommend it
