    Dire Straights

    Friends and readers,

Your Pop Culture Beast's favorite show is in danger of cancelation. Veronica Mars has been a shining example of how good television can be for the past three years. In a time when former steller shows like Lost aren't delivering as good as before, Veronica Mars is consistantly delivering top tier TV. It's cancelation will be a great loss. It counts Stephen King, Joss Whedon and Kevin Smith amongst it's biggest fans (Joss and Kevin both have even appeared on the show) and has a rabid fan base the likes of which would make Buffy fans shudder. I am proud to count myself as one of these.
Which is why I'm blogging for its salvation.
Please, take a few moments and visit http://www.saveveronicamars.tv/ and find out how you can help if you are so inclined. This is a show well deserving of support. These guys are doing great work to save this show.
Update: There are reports that Rob Thomas (genius creator of the show) is working on maybe bumping the show forward and concentrating on veronica at the FBI. Could be cool. Personally, I'd like to focus on Veronica taking over her dads PI Business. That way we won't lose the great supporting characters like Piz and Max. But, as they say, beggers can't be choosers.
The show doesn't get great ratings. But, what show on the CW does? It's the best show on that network, and one of the best shows on ANY network.
Keep your fingers crossed friends and readers. Let us hope Veronica will be saved and will stick around for a while yet.
    till later,
    GtPCB
